IT Support Technician

Minimum Requirements:

Matric, with an IT qualification, diploma or degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years experience in IT support or systems administration.
Experience in a multi-user business environment.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows, Active Directory, Azure and network troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, cybersecurity, backups, remote support tools and cloud technologies.
Experience with ERP or business management systems advantageous.
Knowledge of accounting packages, preferably SAP, beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide first- and second-line IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
Administer user accounts, access permissions, onboarding and offboarding.
Install, configure and maintain computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, networking equipment, VoIP and CCTV systems.
Monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN and internet connectivity.
Support and administer Microsoft 365, ERP, accounting, CRM, inventory and warehouse systems, and other business applications.
Maintain cybersecurity controls, antivirus, firewalls, access policies and POPIA compliance.
Manage data backups, disaster recovery procedures and recovery testing.
Maintain IT asset registers, software licences, system documentation and IT policies.
Liaise with external IT service providers, software vendors and hardware suppliers.
Assist with IT projects, system implementations, upgrades, cloud migrations and hardware rollouts.
