It support consultant - automation solution

A leading technology solutions provider serving the global energy sector is seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Support Helpdesk Consultant to join its growing support team. This is a fully remote position , offering the opportunity to support international clients, troubleshoot business-critical software solutions, and work within a dynamic support environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering first-line technical support, resolving software-related issues, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities Provide first-line technical and application support to local and international customers. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software-related incidents and service requests. Escalate complex issues to relevant technical teams when required. Deliver support services in accordance with agreed service levels and quality standards. Support business-critical supply chain and operational software solutions. Maintain accurate records of incidents, actions taken, and resolutions. Participate in a rotating 24/7 shift roster. Build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships. Work effectively in a remote team environment while maintaining high service standards. Requirements Previous experience in an IT Helpdesk, Service Desk, Technical Support, or Customer Support role. Experience troubleshooting software applications and resolving user issues. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently in a remote-working environment. Reliable internet connectivity and a suitable home-office setup. Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Advantageous Experience

Candidates with any of the following will have a distinct advantage:

Exposure to terminal automation systems or specialised industry software. Experience within the Oil & Gas, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Industrial sectors. Microsoft SQL knowledge or experience. Application support experience in operational or supply chain environments. Eligibility Criteria Applicants must hold a valid South African ID .
