Job Title: Financial Accountant

Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team and oversee all aspects of financial management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of financial data, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.

Responsibilities: Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions Support budgeting and forecasting processes Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Assist with tax planning and compliance Coordinate with auditors during annual audit process Qualifications: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with membership of a recognized professional accounting body (e.g., SAICA, ACCA, CIMA). Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role, preferably within the engineering or construction industry. Strong knowledge of South African accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance principles. Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office suite. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels. Proven leadership and team management abilities, with a commitment to fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
