About the Role

Our client, a prestigious financial services firm in Sandton, is seeking a highly analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for executive management.
• Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand financial performance drivers and provide strategic guidance.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards.
• Evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives and investments.
• Assist in due diligence processes for potential mergers and acquisitions.
• Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
• Streamline financial reporting processes and enhance data accuracy.
• Stay abreast of market trends and economic factors affecting the business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional qualification (CFA, CA(SA)) is a significant advantage.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or investment banking.
• Expertise in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and scenario analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet).
• Experience with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to commute to Sandton, Gauteng, as required and possess legal work authorization in South Africa.
