Our client, a respected player within the engineering sector, is seeking an experienced
Accountant / Bookkeeper to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys managing the full bookkeeping function while supporting the broader financial operations of the business.

Key Responsibilities: - Manage the full bookkeeping function up to Trial Balance.
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, journals, and accruals.
- Perform bank, supplier, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end reporting and financial administration.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Support budgeting, cash flow management, and audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and statutory requirements
Job Experience and Skills Required:- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years' accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Proven experience managing the full bookkeeping function up to Trial Balance.
- Strong knowledge of VAT, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience on Syspro or a similar ERP system.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience within the engineering, manufacturing, or construction industry will be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
