Corporate Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and assist with financial statement preparation.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Monitor job costing and project financial performance.
• Assist with AIA billing/pay applications, retainage tracking, and lien waiver administration.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Partner with project managers and operations teams to ensure accurate project reporting.
• Assist with audits, compliance initiatives, and internal controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within construction, engineering, contracting, or project-based environments.
• Knowledge of job costing, AIA billing/pay applications, retainage, and construction accounting principles.
• Experience with Procore, QuickBooks Online, ERP systems, or related accounting software.
• Strong Excel and financial reporting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines.
