Recently graduated or one to two years into your career? Join us and work with critical data in Markets as part of a team that is being built right now. Join us in building a new data capability in Markets

About the job

At Saxo, we are building the Markets Data Office as part of our Data Governance Programme. The team is organised across four domain areas: Products, Operations, Counterparty Risk and Market Risk. Together, these areas reflect how critical data is used across Markets.

We are a newly established team and still in our build phase. Our first permanent colleagues joined in September 2026. Today, we are eight people, and we are growing to twelve.

As the team grows, we are creating the foundations for how we work, including frameworks, standards, tooling and governance practices. At the same time, we are already delivering on ongoing data initiatives across Markets.

This is an opportunity to join early, learn quickly and help shape how we work.

What you will do

As a Data Portfolio Analyst, you will work within one of our four domain areas together with business stakeholders, data owners, data stewards and technology teams. Your focus will be on improving how critical data is defined, monitored and controlled.

Depending on your domain, you could work with instrument reference data, market data, price data, custody information, election data, trades, positions, counterparty risk or model data.

You will learn about Markets from experienced colleagues and gradually take responsibility for your own tasks. At the same time, you will be part of one Markets Data Office with shared standards, tooling and governance practices.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Helping identify and document Critical Data Attributes (CDAs) by reviewing data points with stakeholders and assessing which are critical for Saxo
  • Analysing data together with data owners to assess quality, identify issues and contribute to root cause investigations
  • Helping define and maintain data definitions, rules, thresholds and supporting documentation
  • Monitoring data quality outputs, following up on remediation and raising issues when they are not being resolved
  • Collaborating with data owners, data stewards and stakeholders across business and technology
  • Contributing to the frameworks, standards and ways of working for the Markets Data Office

Who you are

You have recently graduated or have around one to two years of professional experience.

We imagine that you bring:

  • A relevant degree in finance, economics, business analytics, information systems, data science or a similar field
  • An interest in data and how it is used in business processes
  • Experience with SQL, Python or similar tools from your studies, a student job or projects
  • Hands on experience using AI and other technology tools to automate tasks and find smarter ways of working
  • Good communication skills in English and the ability to write clear and structured documentation

It would be an advantage if you have

  • Experience from banking or financial services, for example through a student job
  • Knowledge of, or an interest in, Markets functions such as trading, risk, investment products or operations, including how a trade moves from front to back
  • Exposure to data governance or data quality work such as data profiling, data controls or data lineage, ideally within financial services
  • Familiarity with Databricks, Great Expectations, OpenMetadata or similar tools

We are looking for someone who:

  • Takes ownership. You move your work forward, follow through and take initiative.
  • Collaborates naturally. You build relationships with business stakeholders, technology teams and colleagues across different domain areas.
  • Uses technology naturally. You use technology to analyse, automate, document and find more effective ways of working.
  • Is comfortable working in an evolving environment. You adapt as priorities develop, bring structure to areas that are still taking shape and contribute to building solutions together with the team.
  • Is structured and curious. You have a strong analytical mindset, pay attention to detail and enjoy understanding how things work.

What we offer

  • The opportunity to help build a new data function from the ground up
  • The steep learning curve across Markets, critical data and data governance, supported by experienced colleagues
  • Hands on guidance, regular feedback and an introduction to both your Markets domain and our governance practices
  • Real responsibility from the beginning, with the opportunity to take on more as you develop

You will join the Markets Data Office at an early stage of its journey, so your role will de
