Curious about how technology and AI can improve the way we work with data? Join Saxo and work with critical data in Markets as part of a team that is being built right now. Join us in building a new data capability in Markets.

About the job

At Saxo, we are building the Markets Data Office as part of our Data Governance Programme. The team is organised across four domain areas: Products, Operations, Counterparty Risk and Market Risk. Together, these areas reflect how critical data is used across Markets.

We are a newly established team and still very much in the build phase. Our first permanent colleagues joined in September 2026. Today, we are eight people, and we are growing to twelve.

As the team grows, we are creating the foundations for how we work, including frameworks, standards, tooling and governance practices. At the same time, we are already delivering on ongoing data initiatives across Markets.

This is an opportunity to join early, learn quickly and have a real influence on how we work.

What you will do

Technology will be an important part of your role. Together with colleagues in the team, you will help strengthen our technical foundation. This could mean building AI supported workflows, contributing to Azure projects, automating manual processes or exploring new tools and platforms.

As a Data Portfolio Analyst, you will work across our four domain areas together with business stakeholders, data owners, data stewards and technology teams. Your focus will be on improving how critical data is defined, monitored and controlled. Depending on the domain, you could work with instrument reference data, market and price data, custody information, election data, trades, positions, counterparty risk or model data.

You will learn about Markets from experienced colleagues and gradually take ownership of your own areas and tasks. You will be part of one Markets Data Office, working with shared standards, tooling and governance practices. You will sit close to the business and help turn business needs into practical technical solutions. We want you to experiment, test ideas and find better ways of working.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Exploring and testing new technology, including AI, and helping the team choose and use the right tools
  • Setting up reporting and dashboards for data owners and data stewards, for example in Power BI
  • Automating manual parts of our governance work, including data quality checks, documentation and metadata
  • Building and maintaining AI supported workflows and data workflows together with colleagues and technology teams, for example in Azure or Databricks
  • Testing and validating automated workflows, including AI outputs, before they are used in day to day governance work
  • Helping define and maintain data definitions, rules, thresholds and supporting documentation
  • Monitoring data quality outputs, following up on remediation and raising issues when they are not being resolved
  • Working with data owners, stewards and stakeholders across business and technology, and helping translate between business needs and technical solutions
  • Contributing to the frameworks, standards and ways of working for the Markets Data Office

A key part of the role is making sure documentation is clear, structured and easy to maintain. This helps create transparency and consistency across the organisation.

Who you are

  • You have recently completed a master's degree or have around one to two years of professional experience.
  • A relevant degree in areas such as information systems, data science, computer science, business analytics or a similar field.
  • An interest in data and how it supports business processes, combined with an interest in connecting business and technology.
  • Experience with SQL, Python or similar tools from your studies, a student job or personal projects.
  • Hands on experience using AI or other technology to automate tasks and find smarter ways of working.
  • Good communication skills in English and the ability to write clear and structured documentation.

You do not need to know everything from day one. What matters most is that you are curious, willing to learn and motivated to build your technical skills.

An advantage if you have

  • Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, Power BI, Great Expectations, data catalogue tools such as OpenMetadata or similar technologies.
  • Experience building with AI beyond everyday use, for example agents, LiteLLM based workflows, prompt engineering or automation using tools such as Power Automate.
  • Experience from banking or financial services, for example through a student job.
  • Knowledge of, or an interest in, Markets functions such as trading, risk, investment products or operations, including how a trade moves from front to back.
  • Exposure to data governance or data quality work such as data profiling, data controls or data lineage, ideally within financial services.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Takes ownership. You move your work forward, follow through and take initiative.
