Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Accountant!

An established accounting firm in Bryanston is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join its team.
This role offers the opportunity to manage an international client portfolio, gain exposure to European businesses and work alongside experienced accounting professionals.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12.
• BCom Accounting degree, Diploma in Accounting or currently studying towards a relevant qualification.
• Completed SAIPA articles preferable, but not compulsory.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, reconciliations and statutory submissions.
• Practical knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks Online, Hubdoc and Dext.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and SARS compliance.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage multiple clients.
• Valid driver's licence and own transport advantageous.
• Must be available to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft annual financial statements and management accounts.
• Prepare year-end journals and financial compilations.
• Perform bank, payroll, VAT, debtors and creditors reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT201, EMP201, EMP501, ITR14 and IRP6 returns.
• Process accounting documentation using Hubdoc and Dext.
• Investigate discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage client queries and ensure statutory compliance.
