We are currently looking for a capable and detail-oriented Accountant to join a professional team in Illovo, Johannesburg. This role is ideal for someone with solid bookkeeping experience, the ability to manage their own client portfolio, and a good understanding of VAT and provisional tax calculations.
Key Performance Areas:
- Performing bookkeeping functions for multiple clients
- Managing and maintaining an allocated client portfolio
- Calculating VAT and provisional tax liabilities
- Communicating tax calculations and payment requirements to clients
- Maintaining accurate financial records and accounting documentation
- Ensuring that client bookkeeping is completed accurately and timeously
- Providing ongoing accounting support to clients
- Travelling to client premises when required
- Working primarily from the office while managing various client assignments
- Assisting with tax-related matters where necessary
Requirements:
- Proven bookkeeping and accounting experience
- Experience managing multiple clients and client portfolios
- Good understanding of VAT calculations and submissions
- Knowledge of provisional tax calculations and paymentsTax knowledge will be an added advantage
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively
- Willingness to travel to clients when required
